Biography

Gabriel Guarino is a cultural historian. He has various publications on the Spanish expansion and its socio-cultural influence in Europe and the Americas, on the cultural history of European princely courts and on the African-American Diaspora.He is presently working on a comparative study of the Viceregal courts of Spain, and on the edition of two collections of essays.EducationBA, MA (University of Haifa), PhD (Cantab.).Research FieldsEarly modern history, cultural studies, communication studies, historical anthropology, Spanish studies, Italian studies, Atlantic history.
