Biography

Joseph Ansong is a PhD researcher at the Belfast School of Architecture and Built Environment at Ulster University. Joseph holds an Erasmus Mundus Masters degree in Maritime Spatial Planning His research at Ulster University focuses on coastal resilience and coastal marine governance approaches including MSP and ICZM. He has extensive experience working on various coastal and marine management projects including Supporting the Implementation of MSP in the Celtic Seas (SIMCelt), Multi-Use in European Seas (MUSES) project, EU MSP Platform and co-authoring the GEF LME LEARN: Marine Spatial Planning Toolkit. He has authored other scientific publications on ecosystem-based approach, marine spatial planning and multi-use of the ocean.
