Ruth Neill is a Research Assistant working on the Health and Social Care Workforce Study.  She completed her BSc Hons in Sports and Exercise Sciences with a Dipolma in Professional Practice at Ulster University - School of Sport and her MSc in Sports Management in the Ulster Business School.  After that she worked as a Sports Development Assistant for Ards and North Down Borough Council.  In 2020, she completed her PhD at Queens University Belfast - School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work, the project was titled: The development and feasibility of a co-produced mental health and well-being intervention for adolescents in the Northern Ireland post-primary setting’.  She has published in a number of academic journals and is interested in public health, mental health, education and physical activity based research.
