Personal profile

Suzanne has a passion for ensuring an excellent student experience and central to this is the philosophy that quality research drives quality teaching and learning. She strives to introduce students to the diversity of social and cultural geography, and has a genuine desire to share her own learning and interests with them.

She teaches across the undergraduate programme, and convenes a research focused module Geographies of Transnationalism.

Suzanne's research lies at the intersections between social and cultural geography focusing on young people, migration and mobility, and international higher education. At present, she is researching the role of migration industries in international higher education transitions, namely the importance of higher education agents in facilitating global geographies of international student mobility. Her first monograph, The Geographies of International Student Mobility: Spaces, Places and Decision-Making, was published in 2019.

Copies of her publications can be found here.
