This series was funded by The Arts Council of N.Ireland. This allowed me to develop a new body of work at the Print Studio Cambridge. The experimental outlook at The Print Studio has been likened to more laboratory than factory, it embraces the best of both old and new technologies . The studio was founded and directed by Master Printer Kip Gresham "one of the influential print makers of our time". Kip Grresham, who collaborated in this series of work, has worked with major artists including Elizabeth Frink, Peter Blake, Eduardo Paolozzi, Terry Frost and John Hoyland. The linear structures that I had previously been using conventionally to carry imagery in "12 Month" series (2009) together with TS Elliot's 'Four Quartets' led to examination of the typography of 'journey's' and transformations in triptych formats. The use of animated, abstracted forms lends ambiguity to the transformation. It can simultaneously be read as literal journey from one field of the triptych to another, a sequenced tumbling, a map, a chart , a river or more intimate and human processes such as a digestive tract.
