This volume consists of papers read at Teangeolaíocht na Gaeilge XIII, an Irish linguistics conference held at the University of Ulster in 2011. Aidan Doyle's paper investigates the promotion of adverbs of quantity to subject position in Irish. Frances Kane studies Irish personal pronouns and suggests that the morphology of these pronouns need not be dependent on matters of case. Brian Ó Broin looks at the acquisition of Irish by a small group of children, examining in particular the order in which they acquired certain features of morphology and synrax while Caoimhín O Dónaill offers an edition of an early Irish poem in praise of St Patrick from a manuscript held in the Royal lrish Academy. Liam Mac Mathúna discusses the language of two scribes working in Dublin at the beginning of the 8th century and Sean Mac Corraidh examines aspects of the Irish of Seán Bán Mac Grianna, a well-known 20th century storyteller and songwriter from Co. Donegal.
