Abstract

This case study presents a critical evaluation of the design, delivery and impact of an optional module on applied drama ('DRA 2073: Drama in the Real World?') for second year students on the BA (Drama) degree program at Edge Hill University (henceforth EHU). This module was delivered over a seven-week period, from 26 September to 11 November 2011, involving a cohort of 36 English full-time undergraduate students. The teaching and assessment of this module also involved the voluntary participation of 12 international students on the MPA (Masters of Public Administration) programme at Edge Hill University, all from the Liaoning province of China.
