Abstract

Hot melt extrusion (HME) provides a viable option for the production of single dose and fixed dose combinations (FDC’S). This research investigates the factors that influence drug release from multi-layered systems, namely, formulation content, layer thickness and drug loading and the impact they have upon the rate and extent of drug release.
